
Jessica Michelle Chastain was born March 24, 1977. She is an American actress, producer and model. Known for primarily starring in films with feminist themes. she has received various accolades such as an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine listed her as one of the top 100 influential people on the planet in 2012. Chastain was an avid actor since her early years. She made her professional stage debut as Shakespeare's Juliet in 1998. After studying acting at the Juilliard School, she was awarded a talent-holding contract with the TV producer John Wells. She was a frequent guest on several television shows, and also took on roles in several stage productions. Chastain's film debut was in Jolene (2008) at 31 years old.
