With his third untitled album nearly complete, Ky-mani certainly is a superstar as a person in his own right. Ky-mani Marley was born in Falmouth, Jamaica, to Robert Nesta Marley, a legend as well as Jamaican champion of table tennis Anita Belnavis. Ky-mani comes from an East African term meaning adventurous journeyer. And as a man living in the spirit of his name every album, or trip can be described as an adventure. His musical voyage started in 1999 with The Journey. With an eclectic vision he searched for his niche exploring the music spectrum, exploring his many skills. Many More Roads (Grammy nominated) was Ky-mani's "traditional" reggae album. The album brought out Kymani's maturity. Many More Roads, as well as The Journey, were well received across the globe and established Ky-mani in her character as an independently-minded "artist". Ky-Mani mixes roots reggae with hip-hop, R&B, and contemporary jazz to produce his distinctive sound.
